Lubbock woman dies in Alpine accident

ALPINE, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock woman dies from a motorcycle accident near Alpine, Texas.  That's according to several media reports including Midland TV station KWES.   The TV station says 66-year-old Jan Stone was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, 67-year-old Thomas Stone.  The TV station quotes officials as saying the rear tire lost air and caused the bike to skid.   This was 14 miles east of Alpine on U.S. Highway 90. 

Mr. Stone suffered scrapes and bruises.  Jan Stone died at Big Bend Regional Medical Center.   According to the Odessa American online, neither were wearing helmets.
