LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Great news for one of Lubbock's biggest employers.

X-Phone, says its revenue jumped 36 percent and its net income is now $2.3 million.  The company says its takeover of Lubbock-based N.T.S. gets part of the credit.

One of the things that made N.T.S. so attractive was a new technology called F.T.T.P. or fiber to the premise.   It allows high-speed digital video and internet.   The company is not only rolling out new F.T.T.P. service in and around Lubbock, but also expanding it to six communities in Louisiana.   At last check N.T.S. employed more than 200 people in Lubbock.
