Imelda Reséndiz is the daughter of Genaro and Maria Reséndiz. She has been involved in many extracurricular activities in school as well as in her community. With Spanish being her first language and being a First Generation American, becoming first in her class was a goal she worked very hard to achieve. Besides academics, being involved in her school as well as in her community was very important to her. After graduation, she plans to attend Texas Tech University for the Summer I 2012 term. Then, in the fall, she will be attending the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas – Austin. There she plans to major in International Business and Business Honors. Moving to a larger city will be a big change for her, but she plans to never forget the small town that raised her and its charm.
