LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A little girl died Tuesday morning after a serious wreck involving a Sheriff's Deputy vehicle. The Department of Public Safety says the driver of a Suburban failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. The accident happened on CR 1500 and FM 2641, just outside of Shallowater, around 9:45 a.m.
Officials identified the driver and passengers late Tuesday. DPS says Kimberly Flores of Littlefield was the driver. They say she was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. Three-year-old Hannah Spoon was ejected and died.
Two-year-old Karla Nesbitt was thrown from the vehicle Latina Dancer of Amherst was also injured.
Six-year-old Toby Spoon was wearning a seat belt and was not seriously injured. The same was true for 7-year-old Noah Noah Spoon.
Officials say 20-year-old Nathan Scott was treated at scene
