By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One of the many accomplishments of Shearer's Foods here in Lubbock is $8.2 million dollars of yearly paychecks.  So, LEDA or the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance paid tribute to Shearer's Tuesday.

Recently the company added 20 new jobs for a total of 160, and was just named as Frito Lay's supplier of the year.  Shearer's has added $35 million to the local tax base since they arrived in January 2007.

Shearer's took over the same facility that Frito Lay left behind when it laid off more than 200 Lubbock workers in latter part of 2006.
