LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Nationwide, cotton planting is behind schedule.   But here in Lubbock the Plains Cotton Growers say our local farmers are right on time.   The only problem locally is that we need rain.

PCG says many farms need a minimum two inches of slow soaking rain, and three inches would be better.   Cotton (if you include equipment, fue,l and labor, etc) is a $5 billion dollar industry in the greater Lubbock area.
