LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday police responded to a report of shots fired in the 6200 block of 22nd street.  An officer at the scene immediately called for EMS saying there were "code a" or serious injuries.  Only minutes later a dead body could be seen in the driveway of the home.  Police then cordoned off an area almost two blocks wide.

The deceased was identified later as 23-year-old Aldo Martin Cervantes.

Then shortly after midnight there was a report of shots fired and car windows broken out in the 1600 block of Iola, which would be about half a mile away from the original police callout.

At the time of this report, there is conflicting information as to whether or not the calls are related.
