Following up on NewsChannel 11 Investigation; diverted or counterfeit supplies

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - This week NewsChannel 11 broke the story of diverted and/or counterfeit medical supplies in Lubbock.  These supplies were diabetic testing strips, and diabetes affects an estimated 24,000 people in Lubbock alone.

As part of the story, Caprock Medical Supply apologized to the public, pulled the products in question off the shelf, and took action with their suppliers to make sure it did not happen again.

But there is still some confusion. Some of our viewers believe this involved Caprock Discount Drug.  It did not. Caprock Medical Supply is a different company.

Again, Caprock Discount Drug did not sell the strips in question.

NewsChannel 11 Investigates Diabetic Test Strips Not Made for USA NewsChannel 11 Investigation finds possible counterfeit diabetic medical supplies in Lubbock. We have conflicting stories but the one thing everyone agrees on is that these medical supplies were never supposed to be sold here.
