Energy efficient appliances go tax free - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - This holiday weekend, you will have the chance to buy tax free appliances. A whole list of appliances goes on sale for the Memorial Day weekend.

Jeff Griffith, President of Radio Lab says "If you need a new washer, refrigerator, or dishwasher, now is definitely the time to consider buying it because of the tax savings."

The tax free status starts at 12:01 Saturday morning and runs through Memorial Day. However, there are restrictions on the tax free status including their energy efficiency.
