LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - If you're going to be spending time outside over this holiday weekend, the American Cancer Society is reminding folks to use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 and reapply it every two hours.
Other sun protection tips include wearing a hat with a wide brim, limiting time outdoors during the middle of the day, when the sun's rays are most intense, and wearing lip balms and sunglasses with UVA protection. More than 1 million skin cancers are diagnosed every year in the US.
