LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Saturday around 3:40 p.m. detention officers found Tyrone Robinson in his cell at the Lubbock County Jail after what appeared to be an attempted suicide. Detention staff administered CPR, and EMS brought him to University Medical Center where they put him on life support.
The Lubbock Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division will assist the Texas Rangers in the investigation into this incident.
Robinson is charged with the murder of 36-year-old Angela Holt. She was the victim in the first of three recent Lubbock murders. Robinson is only charged in one of the homicides, but police believe all three are connected.
Police also said they expect to have more suspects and possibly more arrests next week. No word yet on how this development will effect their investigation.
