Lubbock High School Choir performs at Kennedy Center

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock High School Choir was in Washington D.C. this Memorial Day weekend.

The Choir was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center for the Memorial Day Concert.

While they were in Washington, D.C., Bryce Yancey, a member of the choir and the Jr. ROTC program, was invited to take part in the Laying of the Wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery.

President Barack Obama marked his first Memorial Day as president by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. He saluted the armed forces as "the best of America."
