Prosecution and defense have rested in Wilcox trial

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - On the fourth day of the trial, the defense rested Friday morning in the federal kidnapping trial of Kenneth Wilcox.

Thursday, jurors heard from two women who say Wilcox terrorized them in the woods near Idabel, Oklahoma.

Wilcox told FBI investigators that the stories he told the two women were similar to the ones he told the three Lubbock children he's accused of kidnapping. Wilcox's attorney pointed out on cross examination that neither of the two women's allegations against Wilcox had been prosecuted.

The defense and prosecution are now awaiting a verdict from the jury which is expected Friday. The judge will also give his sentencing which is expected Friday afternoon.

NewsChannel 11 is at the court house and will bring you the latest at Noon, 5, 6, and 10.
