Lubbock to host Texas Lions this week

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock hosts the Texas Lion's yearly convention this week.  

The president of Lions Club International, Al Brandel of Melville, New York, will come to Lubbock.  Part of his appearance will be to honor Lubbock Lions. Lions Club International is the world's largest service organization, and Lubbock has the biggest Lions Club chapter in the world.

Lubbock Lions have many accomplishments including the raising of money for the American Cancer Society's new Hope Lodge here in Lubbock. The conference is June 4th through the 6th at the Holiday Inn Towers.
