LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - All LCU Chaps fans are invited to a welcome home celebration for the Chaparral baseball team as they come home as National Champions.
After claiming the National Championship on Friday in Lewiston, ID, the Lubbock Christian University baseball team will arrive on campus at noon on Monday as they return following their outstanding showing in the NAIA National Tournament.
The Chaparrals ended their season with a victory over Point Loma Nazarene University in the national title game.
The celebration will take place in front of the McDonald Moody Auditorium on the LCU campus.
Free food and drinks will follow a short program that will honor head coach Nathan Blackwood and the baseball team.
