Overstreet files TWC complaint

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock's former Emergency Management Director filed a T.W.C. or Texas Workforce Commission complaint against the City of Lubbock. Kevin Overstreet did not lose his paycheck, but he did lose his job.

Overstreet used to be in charge of both Emergency Management and Animal Control Services. Now he only oversees Animal Control. Overstreet claims that he was removed from Emergency Management as retaliation for investigation into potential corruption at City Hall.

Originally we were told that Overstreet filed an E.E.O.C complaint, which is often similar to a T.W.C. complaint.  The different is that E.E.O.C. is on the federal level, T.W.C. is state.
