Lubbock has critical blood shortage - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock has a critical shortage of type "O" blood. It's so critical that United Blood Service has no type "O" blood for local hospitals to use.  

Type "O" negative is the most important blood type because anyone in need can safety take a transfusion of type "O" negative. But all blood types are welcome.

Call the United Blood Services at 48th and University Avenue to schedule an appointment. That number is 797-6804. Walk-ins are also welcome.
