Follow up on Petersburg fight that sent two teens to the hospital

PETERSBURG TX, (KCBD) -  Official details are scarce Tuesday about an incident that sent two Petersburg teens to the hospital Memorial Day weekend.

Residents gathered to discuss what some are calling a growing crime problem in Petersburg. Daniel Hinajosa, the Chief of Petersburg police, has issued this statement, "It was a fight between teenagers. The investigation is going on and the issue is in the hands of the district attorney."

However, the Hale County District Attorney Wally Hatch says he "does not have police reports at this time. We are in the process of getting those reports. There were multiple parties involved. We will have to take multiple statements."

Meanwhile, the Petersburg City Council did not take official action since it was not on the agenda.
