LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Summer is just around the corner, and as kids take to the outdoors to release their energy, researchers have a new warning about trampolines.
In a new study, Scottish researchers analyzed 50 trampoline-related injuries. They found the risk for injury was highest if many users were on at once, with the child weighing the least having the biggest chance of getting hurt. While experts say parent supervision is necessary, parent participation is not. The severity of injuries increased when adults were on the trampoline with children.
The researchers had one final warning for parents: alcohol and trampolines don't mix!
