LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The City of Lubbock will honor the Lubbock Lion's Club their hard work in reaching a world record in the Guinness Book of World Records.
A few years ago, Lubbock held the world record for most pancakes served in eight hours. But briefly the Kiwani's Club in Fargo, North Dakota took the record away. But the Lubbock Lion's Club fought back in the friendly rivalry and demanded the title back by flipping 66,459 pancakes in eight hours on February 21st.
All the money raised from the Pancake Festival went to worthy causes here on the South Plains.
