LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Monday, the message was simple: there is life after losing a limb.
The Lubbock Area Amputee Support Group held its second annual golf fundraiser. Ten teams played at the Rawls Course. Organizers says an estimated 50 percent of the players were in fact amputees.
Beverly Medlock with the Lubbock Area Amputee Support group says, "When you get an amputation you have two choices in life. One is you can lie down and die. The other is you can get up. There is definitely life after an amputation."
The event not only raises money to support amputees, but it also raises public awareness. For more info call 790-3770.
