Hazmat team responds to industrial accident at TYCO

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock first responders are at the scene of an industrial accident at the TYCO plant north of Lubbock.

NewsChannel 11 can confirm the accident involves cleaning chemicals, when combined can create hydrogen sulfide gas.

A 45 year-old TYCO employee is now listed in critical condition at University Medical Center. A second employee, age 34, was also admitted, and is now in satisfactory condition. Both are Lubbock residents, however their names have not been released.

Ten others, including three EMS workers and two Lubbock firefighters were treated and released.
