LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Punishment has been decided for Antonio Olivarez, 30. Wednesday, a Lubbock jury sentenced him to 20 years for the May 2007 assault of Lubbock Police Officer Travis Bratton.
Olivarez fled from police after they tried to stop him for a traffic violation. After they caught him, Olivarez grabbed the officer's taser. Olivarez also received 20 years for taking a weapon from a peace officer. He'll serve those sentences at the same time.
