Stabbing Victim is Recovering

A Lubbock man is in the hospital Monday night recovering from a stab wound. Police say 35-year-old Gilbert Gallegos stabbed 40-year-old Tony Manahan over an argument about the Cowboys game.

The incident happened about 8 p.m. Sunday night in the 7400 block of East Rice St. Police Spokesman Bill Morgan, says Gallegos also stabbed 32-year-old Margarita Macias when she tried to break up the argument. Macias was not seriously injured. Manahan is in satisfactory condition at University Medical Center.

Gilbert Gallegos has been charged with aggravated assault.
