Rumors of a settlement at City Hall untrue

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Rumors of a settlement at City Hall are not true. For the past three years City Hall and local businessman Ted Parker have been embroiled in a sometimes emotional and bitter fight.

Last year, the FBI got involved, but there are still no results from that investigation. Back when the litigation started, former Mayor David Miller claimed that Parker's company owes the City $6 million. Parker denies it.

Sources at both the City and with Parker's company tell NewsChannel 11 the same thing. There is no settlement and there never was.
