LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The owner says it's been a couple of years since they've had a perfect score, but we take you inside to find out their secret to success.

"It feels very good. I mean we haven't got it for the last two or three years, and we are very happy to get it again," George Shadid said.

Giorgio's Pizza at 1018 Broadways is back in the top spot for the sixth time. "It feels great," owner and namesake George says.

While his recipe for that perfect taste has remained the same for 17 years, he gives credit to his employees for that perfect inspection. "These guys - we have great guys working for us. They work hard to clean up the place and keep it up, and I am proud of them," says George.

Something else George is proud of: his downtown customers and Lubbock High Schoolers that know they can get a great lunch in just a matter of minutes. "Most of the time, in five minutes, they can get in and out - which is very quick," George said. "The price is good. It tastes good. Sandwiches are good, lasagna, salads, calzones number one yeah, pizza, everything is good, but if you're hungry go for the calzone."

But if you're really hungry, "We have Texas-Size pizza. It's the biggest pizza in Lubbock. It's 28 inches and it feed about 8 to 10 people. This is a very popular item right there."

It's a double slice of pizza in this week's Food for Thought. Domino's Pizza at 1617 University keeps this effect going. They served up a perfect inspection as well.

And finally, Mi Vida's Kitchen at 1601 50th Street spices up this week's report with its first time at the top.
