Lubbock gearing up for 2010 census - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock, TX (KCBD) - 10 questions that take 10 minutes will last 10 years; the short form questionnaire for the 2010 census goes out to Lubbockites next March.  But planning is already underway. 

Thursday night the city of Lubbock's "Complete Count Committee" met to discuss ways to raise census awareness. Census numbers affect the way Lubbock receives federal money for projects such as transportation. The committee will be hiring door to door census workers toward the end of the summer.
