LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Fans of Dylan, Mellencamp, and Nelson will finally get their chance to purchase tickets to this summer's biggest music concert.
Public ticket sales kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday at all Select-A-Seat locations in West Texas.
The concert is the evening of August 8th at Jones AT&T Stadium on the Texas Tech University campus. Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson is expected to be a hit and the tickets are expected to go fast. A local promoter, Llano Estacado Music, is encouraging fans to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
In addition to the Select-A-Seat outlets, concert tickets also can be purchased at www.selectaseatlubbock.com or by telephone at (806) 770-2000 beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The retail locations for Select-A-Seat are:
- Lubbock Memorial Civic Center
- Texas Tech Student Union Building
- Dollar Western Wear
- Ralph's Records (both locations)
- Market Street
- United Supermarkets in: Lubbock, Slaton, Plainview, Levelland, Post, Littlefield, Brownfield, Lamesa, Snyder, Muleshoe
Ticket prices to see the three hall-of-fame musicians together on stage for the first time in Lubbock history are $69.50, $49.50, and $39.50 (plus service charges). Llano Estacado Music has indicated that only 16,000 tickets will be sold.
The stage for the event will be located near midfield and will face the west stands of the stadium. Approximately 2,400 seats will be located on the floor of the stadium.
The concert will be held rain or shine.
