PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - More bad news for the Peanut Corporation of America.
The deadline for filing personal injury claims against the company has been extended to October 31st. A bankruptcy judge in Virginia granted a motion that would extend the claims deadline to make sure everyone has time to file. The deadline was Monday, the same day damage claims from commercial outlets are due.
As of Friday, 252 damage claims totaling $207 million had been filed against the PCA plants in Georgia and Plainview.
