Harris trial begins Monday after beating of elderly man

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Jury selection is expected to begin Monday in the trial of a Lubbock man accused of breaking into an elderly couple's home, and beating the man inside. 

Jaffice Harris, 20, faces felony robbery and burglary charges. Police say he broke into a home in the 3800 block of 48th street last November and beat a 74-year-old man with his own cane.   Investigators later determined Harris lived only a few blocks away. He remains in the Lubbock County Jail.
