LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The price of a gallon of gas continues to rise with the summer travel season just around the corner.
For the past 47 days, there has been an increase in price per gallon, with an increase of 17 cents in the past 2 weeks.
Triple A reports the national average of regular unleaded at $2.66 a gallon when the survey was completed on Friday.
In Lubbock, the cheapest gas price reported today is $2.51 at a number of locations around town. The highest is at $2.69 at the Chevron on 19th and University.
