Ayala Indicted on Murder Charges

On Wednesday a Lubbock Grand Jury indicted a man suspected of killing his 13-month-old daughter. Twenty-eight year-old Adam Ayala will face capital murder charges for the death of Desiree Ayala.

The alleged incident happened November 8, 2002 at Ayala's house in the 2600 block of 1st Place. Ayala originally told police his daughter had drowned, but an autopsy that same day proved she had been beaten. A short time later, Ayala admitted to hitting the child because she would not stop crying. His bond is set at one million dollars.
