600 Employees Coming to the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Good news for South Plains employers. Workforce Solutions South Plains announced Wednesday that 600 workers over the next three years will come into the area thanks to a $360,000 grant used for the purpose of recruiting and re-employing unemployed workers.

"We are building and enhancing available labor pool of skilled workers for employers so it's really a true response to employer demand," said Lisa Spears of Workforce Solutions.

The employees will be recruited by Workforce Solutions, which works in partnership with LEDA, Floyd County, Brownfield, and Levelland.
