The Lubbock Police Department wants to cut down on crime by taking its services on the road. The department set up an RV at Bayless Elementary School. This mobile office will be open for residents in the area to voice their concerns about neighborhood safety. Other city departments will also be available to address issues like code violations, housing, and health.
"We want that opportunity as police officers and the Lubbock Police Department to be able to communicate and have good conversations with our neighbors and establish that type of relationship," said Chief Claude Jones.
The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
