LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - British men will soon be able to buy Viagra directly from a pharmacy without a doctor's prescription.  Boots, Britain's largest drugstore chain launched the nationwide program Friday.

Viagra users will not need a doctor's prescription, but they will still need to be registered with a doctor and agree for the doctor to be informed.  Patients will have to complete a pre-screening questionnaire before having a three-minute consultation with a pharmacist.  The service costs about $90 for the initial screening and a supply of four tablets, additional four-packs of tablets will then cost about $26.

Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction, and patients still need a doctor's prescription in the United States.
