On Christmas Eve, half a dozen of Santa's favorite elves will be in town to greet the children of Lubbock. They will visit the home of Jeff Mills and the Tree of Life.
Each year, Mills wraps this tree with strand after strand. And each year, there are more lights than the previous year. Mills said this year, the tree has 45,000 bulbs on it, and it took him about one-hundred hours to complete the job.
Those passing by his house at 5510 80th St. - will see Santa's helpers and a Santa's sleigh. Visitors also may receive a candy cane and hot cider. The elves will even be accepting last minute letters to Santa.
