LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Consumer Product Safety Commission wants to get your attention before this high-powered holiday. 

If you buy fireworks, the CPSC says to use common sense:  don't hold fireworks, don't pick up or try to relight a dud, don't use illegal explosives, and always keep water nearby and children away.
