New Epilepsy center first of its kind in region

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Epilepsy patients now have a state of the art facility designed especially for their needs. The new facility is the first and only one of its kind in the region, and will provide surgical treatments for Epilepsy, and offer patients the latest in experimental treatment options.   

K.J. Oomen, M.D. says it's "a place where patients who have Epilepsy, especially difficult to control Epilepsy, can come can get the ultimate in care that's available anywhere in the world, right here in West Texas."

The new unit is named for Jay and Virginia Crofoot. It's a joint effort of Covenant and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
