Arson Suspected in Thursday Night Fire

A vacant building caught fire Thursday night, and the Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office says it was probably arson. It happened around 11 p.m. inside a building at 46th St. and Avenue G.

Sharon Moore with the Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office says kids seen in the area likely started the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured and firefighters put the fire out quickly, but Moore says the building will be torn down because it is a fire hazard.
