One woman is dead and three others are injured after an accident on the Slaton Highway and I-27 in South Lubbock on Monday. Police say that a woman was driving east on the Slaton Highway when she apparently ran a red light.
That's when a truck going north on the I-27 access road broadsided her car. A 17 year-old woman in the back seat of the car died at the scene. EMS took two other women and a man to local hospitals. The driver of the truck was not injured.
