Former Slaton teacher pleads guilty to harassment - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

SLATON, TX (KCBD) - A former Slaton teacher pleads guilty to harassment after sending an inappropriate text message to a student. 

Thirty-five-year-old Abelardo Mata was sentenced to two years deferred adjudication. Mata was accused of sending a 13 year old student a sexually explicit text message on her cell phone in 2006, he resigned shortly after the incident.
