LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There is no longer a Lubbock State School, at least not by that name. Since Governor Perry enacted Senate Bill 643 last month, state schools have new titles.
Lubbock's facility will now be called the Lubbock State Supported Living Center. The bill also enacted emergency reforms for all 13 of the state's Supported Living Centers.
