LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One of the biggest community events on the South Plains is coming up in Levelland to celebrate the first settlers in the area.
Levelland's annual Early Settlers Day is scheduled for July 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The event celebrates the town's heritage and pays tribute to those who first settled in the area as musicians.
It takes place on the Hockley County Courthouse Square each year, and this year will include a parade, music on a big stage, and arts and crafts in more than 90 trade booths.
