Lubbock Health Department may face changes due to city budget - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - With the new proposed budget, city residents wouldn't pay higher taxes, but the Lubbock Health Department would change significantly. 

City staff proposed cutting positions from the Health Department and shifting much of its duties to the state. Right now, the department has 73 employees. If the budget passes, the department will drop to 59 employees.
