LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Xcel Energy says the high heat places us at risk of black outs, which some areas of West Texas experienced Wednesday. Thursday, the company is asking for your help to avoid any further blackouts.
Xcel Energy has these tips: When starting your air conditioner, bring down the temperature slowly. Also, put off high-energy chores like running the dishwasher or clothes washer until late evening when the heat of the day is over. For more energy saving information, (click here).
