Congressional Race To Represent District 19

It will take an election not an appointment to find Larry Combest's successor in District 19. Governor Perry is expected to call that election for May 3rd.

So far, only three people have officially filed to run for the office.

  • Mike Conaway of Midland
  • State Representative Carl Isett of Lubbock
  • Bill Christian of Midland

However, several others are expected to run. Including, five from Lubbock, two from Midland and one from Odessa.

Combest is expected to officially resign on May 31st.
