Four San Antonio Police officers are in the hospital after an early morning shoot out at a restaurant. It happened on Friday at Denny's around 3:30 a.m. Police say the shooting stemmed from a disagreement between a man and his girlfriend. When two officers went inside to arrest the man witnesses say he managed to punch one officer, grab his gun and start shooting. The gunman, Jamie Lichtenwalter, shot both officers inside the restaurant and then two more outside. But, one of the wounded officers returned fire, killing Lichtenwalter. Two of the officers remain in critical condition, the other two are stable.

The Fort Worth Police Department is also dealing with tragedy. A female undercover officer was shot during a drug bust. It happened Thursday outside a convenience store in South Fort Worth. Police have one person in custody, and are questioning several others. The officer's condition was upgraded from critical to stable on Friday. Her name has not been released.
