LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Several generations of families and friends filled the streets surrounding the Levelland Courthouse for the 49th Early Settler's Day festival. The festivities kicked off Saturday morning with a breakfast followed by a parade.
"Really it's just a great time for our community to come out and get together. We have people from all over the South Plains here enjoying the great day and the great weather and the real sense of community that an event like this brings," said Levelland Chamber of Commerce Chariman, Kimbra Quinn.
This year was one of the festival's biggest turn outs with more than 90 vendors, several games, and activities. The Early Settlers Day is the largest festival in Levelland each year.
