Explosion and house fire thought to be arson

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - KCBD.com broke the story of an explosion and house fire at 3408 King avenue, which was late Friday night.  Officials say no one was inside and the damage is estimated at $40,000.  

The fire marshal's office believes it was a case of arson and the marshals need tips that would lead them to the arsonist.   If you know something about the case, please call the Fire Marshal's Office at 775-2646, or you can anonymously to Crime Line at 741-1000.

Fire destroys Lubbock house
Fire fighters worked hard Friday night to put out a fire called out around 11 p.m. on King Avenue, a few blocks Southwest of 34th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
