LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man will not become the new leader of the Texas Board of Education. Despite endorsements by a fellow board member, the Houston Chronicle, and Fort Worth Star Telegram, Bob Craig of Lubbock was not appointed chair of the board.
The Governor instead chose Gail Lowe of Lampasas. Her term as chairwoman will expire in 2011.
